Nelson, London, 1970. Reprint. Hardcover. Good/Good. Illustrator: Photographic and Illustrations. 1.125 kg.; (8) 9-400 pages, foreword by authors and list of coloured plates. Bright yellow coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white illustrations and full-page, full-colour photographs (some double page) throughout. Light blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. Pink coloured tint to the top text block edge. Bumping to the book corners and to the lower backstrip edges. Fading to the backstrip edges and to the lower book edges. Some rubs to the book panels. Light browning of the text block edges and light age toning of the internal text. Colour photographic dustwrapper with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. A little creasing to the dustwrapper edges and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. There is a 0.5 " tear to the top left-hand corner of the front panel which arcs into the top backstrip edge, a previous owner has protected this tear with tape to the verso of the dustwrapper, tape still in situ. A similar size tear to the top left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel. Some browning to the white of the background. This book was first published in 1962 and this edition is enlarged and revised. A book about cooking and all things gastronomical listed alphabetically. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. We seem to specialize in non mainstream stuff but read and stock Science-fiction, fantasy, detective fiction, history, biography and true crime, war, natural history. cooking, children's books and try to avoid current text books.We probably have the largest collection of Science Fiction, Penguins and general crime in Victoria in an open shop ( David has 8 bookcases 900mm x 2200mm of sf and f) ( Penny has 8 bookcases 1200mm x 2400 of sf and f )On shelf each shop has 30,000 plus books and we list over 30000 books online
