This very rare 200 year old Dictionary is in full modern calf and a real beauty! With hand-stitched headbands and a carefully, professionally restored title page, it is a true collector's item. First and last page are photographed for your review, as well as the Preface and two of the pages with handwriting. The book was first copyrighted in 1807. This is the true second edition printed in 1817..

Condition: This rare 1817 second edition of Webster's Dictionary of the English Language Compiled for the Use of Common Schools is rare, indeed! It is bound in modern calf as shown. Title page was professionally restored. We found only 6 pages with writing, two of which are photographed for your review. As expected, pages remain fragile for its 200+ years.
