The Abbey Library, London, 1964. New Revised Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Photographic. 1.2 kg; 514 pages, includes index of places, index of names, 1700+ individual biographies of sculptors and statuaries followed by lists of their works, and includes all important foreign artists who work in Britain during the period covered, and whose works still exist in Britain today. Includes 32 pages of halftone illustrations. Photographic illustrated dust jacket has a 2.0 inch closed tear at the top left of the front panel, and the back strip section of the jacket has faded from exposure to sunlight. The edges of the text block are browned for the same reason. First published in 1951, the preface to the new edition makes the point that 13 years have passed, therefore the year of publication has to be 1964. Size: Quarto -- up to 12 " Tall.
