London: Longman, Brown, Green, and Longmans, 1856. 335 & 332 pages. Private library book plate on front paste downs. Ink stamp of a masonic lodge is seen on the upper edge of the text blocks. Slight discoloration on spine where small library stickers were removed. Yellow cloth covers are discolored and soiled. The top hinge (internal) of Volume II is broke and the first several signatures of leaves are loosened and show a little light edge wear. A large tide mark is noted on the lower outside corner of the first few leaves of the same volume. . Second Edition. Cloth - Hard Cover. Fair/No Dust Jacket. 12mo.
