About This Item
London: Michael Joseph, 1984. The two stories in this book were first published pseudonymously and separately as 'The Diary of a Good Neighbour' and 'If the Old Could....' by Jane Somers. They appear here in one volume for the first time under Doris Lessing's name. 510 pages. Blue boards in jacket. Condition: The jacket has been price-clipped and appears to have a little colour-fading to the spine. There are small chips to the top edge spine corners. The jacket is enclosed in a removable transparent glassine wrapper. The text-block's top edge has a little spotting, but the book is otherwise clean, tight and unmarked. Every book is sent in a rigid cardboard posting box.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good. 22.5 cm x 15 Cm.
