Bowood Publishers Limited, London, 1984. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Signed by Author on Title Page. IV, 344 pages, foreword by author, glossary and historical notes. Black coloured boards with silver titles to the backstrip. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and to the top right-hand book corner. A few dust marks to the text block edges. Illustrated dustwrapper, with black background and a red and white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Author photograph to the rear dustwrapper fold over panel. Rubbing and a little chipping to the dustwrapper corners. Creasing and rubbing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges and there is a 0.5 inch tear to the top left-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel. Rubbing and a few marks to the laminate of the dustwrapper. A story based on historical fact of the survivors of World War II. The decimation of the Jews in Europe during the Holocaust left both the Jews and the Germans, both devastated. The victims with feelings of suffering and devastation and the temporary conquerors left with no softening of their attitudes towards their victims and needing no vindication for what they did. The author has placed a gift inscription to the recipient on the free front end paper dated 22/6/ 90. This is the first UK edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
