With ten colour wood engravings by John Petts (one more than the standard edition). This is one of one hundred specially bound and with an extra engraving, this being number seventy-seven. London: Golden Cokerel Press, 1960. Octavo. Limited to 500 copies of which this is #204. 28 pages, color engravings by John Petts. A fine copy in original glassine which has some wear along edges. This is a reply to Against Women [Araith Ddychan i'r Gwragedd) which was written in the 16th century. William Cynwal answered this in 1585 though the author of the original negative item had already died. This lovely book was designed by Christopher Sandford of the Golden Cockerell Press. The artists John Petts was known for his fine work in stained glass and design on small books of poetry. The composition and presswork by The Chisweick Press.Bound in blue pictorial gilt cloth depicting silhoettes of two women holding a sword, spine lettering gilt.
