First edition. Unpaginated. No dust jacket. Green fabric covered boards, with black print on the spine. Fabric is worn through at all corners and the head and tail of the spine. Some light stains to the cover, most on the front. Illustrations by the author, including those on the decorated endpapers. Owner's ex libris sticker on the front free endpaper. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with the exception of three of the 22 full page illustrations, where the image has been traced in pencil (perhaps to make a carbon copy; photo #5 shows one of these). Looks to be erasable. No other wear to the pages as far as I can find. A rare and highly valued book.
