SIGNED by the Author on the title page, 4to (12" x 9 1/4") bright blue gilt-decorated cloth with simulated label, gold lettering on spine & decorative motifs, profusely illustrated with 500 photographs, sketches, and delineations of Swedish handicrafts and artistry (32 pages in full color), archival mylar-protected pictorial dust jacket (unclipped) depicting a bunch of flowers and gent riding, colorful map endpapers, xxiv, [xxv-vi] + 245, [246] pages + [2] Note on the color plate repros. Weight: 3 lb. 4 oz. A SUPERB illustrated encyclopedia of Swedish decorative arts: textiles, ceramic, metal, glass, wood, and wall paintings. Useful historical discussions with a profusion of examples from the late 17th century to mid-20th century. SIGNED by the learned author. Tight and clean copy without annotations; some smallish chips to the edges of the unclipped and colorful dust jacket; a 1" strip of yellowed tape at the lower right front panel. Light uniform age-toning.
