About This Item

Signed limited numbered edition in a gold cloth slipcase; very scarce in unopened shrinkwrap; one of 450 copies (exact number unknown since wrapping has never been opened). One of the most popular American authors of suspense thrillers, Mr. Clancy's amazing first book was the very successful "The Hunt for Red October," featuring the character Jack Ryan; was later made into a blockbuster movie of the same name. This book, "Debt of Honor" is one of nine books written around the Jack Ryan or John Clark characters which include "Without Remorse," "Patriot Games," "The Cardinal of the Kremlin," "Clear and Present Danger," and, most recently, "Rainbow Six" and "The Bear and the Dragon." Known for his attention to detail and the deep research that requires, Mr. Clancy has earned the respect of the military experts about whom he writes, fellow writers and readers alike. A highly collectible signed limited edition worthy of investment.

Synopsis

Debt of Honor (1994) is a novel by Tom Clancy. It is a continuation of the series featuring his character Jack Ryan. In this installment, Ryan has become the National Security Advisor when the Japanese government (controlled by a group of corporate tycoons known as the Zaibatsu) goes to war with the United States. One of the sub-plots in this novel (on occupying the Siberian "Northern Resource Area") would later form part of the main plot of Clancy's later novel The Bear and the Dragon.
