Image 11 1/2 x 18 3/4 in.; mounted to 19 x 24 in. A published photograph of Littlefield's hyper-realistic Lincoln death-bed painting, each figure meticulously rendered from photographs. Saint Hyacinthe, Canada: J.J.E. Sauvageau, n.y.. 3½" X 2 3/8" (3" X 2" sepia-tone print mounted to heavy stock c.d.v. card). Good. Moderately age toned and slightly trimmed, with some apparent inoffensive old glue stains. This untitled c.d.v. features a greatly-reduced photographic rendering of one of many artists' inaccurate renderings of the deathbed scene, with the prone Lincoln near center surrounded by numerous standing and seated figures. Among them are Gideon Welles, Salmon P. Chase, Robert Todd Lincoln, John Hay, Charles Sumner and Edwin Stanton; a seated Mary Todd Lincoln holds a hankie to her face while young "Tad" weeps in her lap. Backstamp of Canadian photographer Sauvageau ("Artiste Photographe") on verso. Unusual.
