New York: The Catholic Worker, 1937. 8.5x11 inch mimeographed letter of seven paragraphs, soliciting donations from supporters to sustain the organization's work. Small loaves and fishes motif at top. Neatly creased from having been folded to fit into an envelope, some edgewear. "Oct. 11, 1937" in pen at bottom. Enumerates the various needs of the organization, which fed the poor as well as publishing the Catholic Worker newspaper. In later years these appeals bore the name of Dorothy Day; at this time they were simply in the name of "The Editors.
