FINE copy in publisher's light bluish-green paper-covered boards, spine lettered and stamped in blue, in the original FINE lightly used dust jacket, priced $2.50. "Fire Escape," originally published as "The Boy Cried Murder" in Mystery Book Magazine (March 1947), is the source for the remarkable 1949 RKO film noir "The Window" starring Arthur Kennedy and Barbara Hale, with Bobby Driscoll as the young boy who sees his neighbors commit a murder but no-one will believe him. Ex-Otto Penzler.
