Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Previous owner's name in ink on front free end paper. Green gilt stamped cloth over flexible boards, black-and-white frontispiece photograph, 104 pages, 8 black-and-white photographic illustrations including the frontispiece. Corners and spine ends bumped with wear, covers soiled, front cover bowed a bit, end papers toned. Tipped in on front free end paper is a small piece of paper on which is written: "Compliment of Saml. St. John Noyes, Nov 10th 1917, Written by an old fellow clerk in Howard Sanger & Co.
