Book is slightly "toned"; back bottom corner creased; inscription on inside front cover erased. Very clean, sound copy. 80 pages; many full page black and white illustrations. Mary Augusta Tappage, who was born in 1888, was the granddaughter of a Shushwap chief, who recounts memories of her life, catching salmon, making baskets, the loss of children. A beautifully produced book - the text, a mix of prose and verse in Augusta's voice, is interspersed with photographs in her natural surroundings.. Pictorial Soft Cover.
