[Copenhagen]: 20th Century Fox, 1954. Offset lithographic poster ( 32½ x 24½"; 83 x 62 cm). Previously folded, film censor stamp in upper left quadrant, various pinholes at edges, otherwise very good. A one sheet promoting the Danish release of the 1952 American anthology film, introduced and narrated by John Steinbeck, and based on four short stories by O.Henry. The original US release featured five stories, including an adaptation of "The Ransom of Red Chief", directed by Howard Hawks, that does not appear in this Danish release. The four segments present were directed by Henry Hathaway, Henry King, Henry Koster, and Jean Negulesco. The segments starred Anne Baxter, Jean Peters, Richard Widmark, Dale Robertson, Charles Laughton, Marilyn Monroe (who appeared on screen for approximately a minute), Jeanne Crain, and Farley Granger, among others.
