Dated 1904 on title page, single volume reissue of these 2 stories from Dealings with the Fairies. 8vo, 170 x 110 mm, 6¾ x 4¼ inches, beige cloth, dark green line illustration to upper cover repeating title page, gilt titled upper cover and spine, top edges gilt, 104 pages. Title page illustration and 2 full page illustrations by Arthur Hughes. Spine slightly darkened, cloth very lightly soiled, corners very slightly bumped, a touch of wear to head of spine. Neat inscription dated Xmas 1904 on front endpaper, lower corner of 1 page mis-trimmed by the binder, no loss of printed area, contents very nice. Very good plus. In 1904 Fifield reissued the tales in Dealings with the Fairies (1867) edited by Greville MacDonald under the title Fairy Tales, with one extra story. In 1905-1906 Fifield also put out those stories in five 6d parts (our title being Part IV). Shaberman No.31, see page 33. On page 70 the cover of the paperback 6d edition is illustrated, with the same design as our cover and title page.
