London: Jarrolds Publishers 1934. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. First UK edition.[translated from the German by H. J. Stenning] Non-fiction per Tuck but reads more like science fiction. Brown cloth with gold gilt spine lettering/rules, 286 pages plus 8 pages of ads at the rear dated "for Spring, 1934", wonderfully crude science-fiction-oriented illustrations. Locke [A Spectrum of Fantasy, page 172, "Not fiction but speculative fact, considering the various ways by which the world might meet its doom"]. Oswald Train's bookplate, Boots sticker, hinges broken, something removed from the rear paste-down, remainder-like mark to the bottom edge, so offered as a reading/filler copy only and lacking the jacket.
