About This Item

Liverpool, 1828. First Edition, pages lxxvii, 85, engraved frontis, greyhound vignettes in the text. Good quality modern binding of half leather with marbled boards. Some foxing, but not serious, small chip in fore-margin of first page. The frontis is printed on fine India Paper laid onto thicker paper and its fragility has led to slight fraying to the margin and a small blemish on Goodlake's right arm (see scan). Still a good, sound copy.
