Orange cloth with black lettering and black-bordered silver lettering, pictorial dust jacket. vi, 218pp. Frontispiece, 3 full-page plates. Near fine/very good. Inoffensive abrasion on front pastedown; jacket edgeworn, with a number of tiny edge chips -- but complete and still attractive. Tight and really handsome first edition of the third title in the 10-volume "Hal Keen Mystery Story" (1931-34). Jacket rear panel and printed jacket verso both list up to this title. Delightful jacket front panel graphic features a flaming plane crash in foreground and horseriding cowboy in background.
