Ex-library, Riwaka Library (a small 19th century provincial New Zealand library, Riwaka is situated 5km from Motueka, in the upper part of New Zealand's South Island.) Rebound in 19th Century half-leather library binding. Front hinge completely broken, with text block separated from front board. Cloth peeling and lifting from boards. Dampstains to endpapers. Lacking the frontispiece, both folding maps, and 5 of the plates. Some other plates with large tears and chips. Half-title paeg chipped, creased and torn. Front free endpaper missing. Text complete. A poor copy. ; [2], xiv, 510 pages + [2], 48 pages publisher's advertisements + 8 of 14 plates. Lacking the frontispiece and 5 other plates. Lacking the 2 folding maps. Binding broken at front hinge.
