Third edition, portrait frontispiece 239pp., illustrated with vignette head pieces by Jean Louis Ernest MeissonierTales set to poerty.This work was so populr it ran into several editions including many limited editions. Bound by R[omain] Raparlier in 3/4 green morocco over marbled paper covered boards, raised bands, compartments lettered and fully decorated in a floral gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, slight scattered foxing throughout but more so on the title page. A very good copy in very nice morocco binding.
