About This Item
New York: Sotheby's of New York, 1986. First Edition. Softcover. Fine/Very Good. Sterling condition softcover copy of the catalog that accompanied the auction that was held at Sotheby's of New York on November 11 and 12, 1986 of the contemporary art holdings of the estate of Robert C. Scull, with unfurled tips, tight binding, and clean internals, showing only very slight shelf- and edge-wear to the simple card stock covers, and with some furling along the top edges of the glossy card stock wraps, illustrated, and in gate-fold. Introduction by Thomas Epstein, and a fine black-and-white photograph of "Bob" Scull at frontis, a man legendary in two businesses: taxi-cabs and contemporary art. 133 lots are featured. Unpaginated, but roughly 145 pp., and with fine reproductions of the artworks being auctioned, printed on fine, glossy paper. Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
