Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Volume II. Separately paginated appendix to rear, 70pp. With folding map of the Isle of Wight. Text block edges decoratively speckled. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front endpaper. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and peeling to corners, while spine ends are crushed and rubbed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Spine title label partly missing. Gilt is bright.

Bath: Richard Cruttwell, 1817. [2], xii, [13]-66pp, bound in half vellum and paper over boards, smooth back, title in gilt to spine, with diaper pattern in gilt to head and tail, gilt crown to covers, a.e.g. and gauffered. Small scrape to upper cover, slightly rubbed, internally bright and clean. From the library of Earl Eldon, with his bookplate and name to reverse of front endpaper. Though Warner is probably better known for his topographical works, he was an opponent of Evangelicalism and Catholic emancipation (see ODNB). First Edition. Half Vellum and Boards. Good+. 8vo.
