Amherst, MA: The University of Massachusetts Press, 1972. First edition. Softcover. 82 pages. A somewhat early collection of poetry from this important African American writer. An about very good copy in wrappers with some minor wear and with a small moisture stain to the bottom corner of the pages. Signed and inscribed by Reed to John O'Brien who was the founder of the literary journal "Review of Contemporary Fiction" as well as the Dalkey Archive. Despite the flaws a solid copy with an interesting provenance.
