Washington: John C. Rives, 1855. First Edition. Hardcover. Fair. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and fairly sturdy. Faint white lettering of call number at spine and punched stamp are only signs of ex-library status (Hill Reference Library, Saint Paul). Original boards present, attached, but loose, still hanging by string. Marbled paper over boards, brown leather-backed and over tips, and with gilt lettering to spine. Scuffing to extremities, some waffling to text-block but with no signs of mildew or odor. Some soiling to and foxing of especially endpapers, else clean and unmarked. Massively heavy, oversized volume. lxiv + 1569-2356 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
