New York: Harper & Brothers, 1885. 1st. Hardcover. Very good. Bound in publisher's original green cloth with spine and cover stamped in gilt and elaborately illustrated. Grey top edge. Brown endpapers. First American edition. Edges and hinges moderately worn with small areas worn through cloth, otherwise intact and bright. Over one hundred full-page and smaller illustrations, two large maps, and several smaller ones.
