William Styron’s Pulitzer-winning novelization of the events leading up to the 1831 murderous rampage led by runaway slave Nat Turner, in which over sixty innocent Whites were slaughtered, including an infant hacked to pieces as it slept, and ten children who were gathered at the school house for class, all of whom were beheaded. Very Good Plus in a Very Good Plus dust jacket. A few light flecks on the top page block edge, very slight sunning of the dust jacket spine panel. Clean, crisp, bright, corners sharp, binding tight, sound, and square, not price clipped, no ownership signatures or any other markings of any kind.
