Richmond Virginia: J.L. Hill Printing Company, 1893. First Edition. . Hardcover. Very Good+/None Issued. VG+/0/1st ed. The Confederate Scrap-Book was published for the benefit of the Memorial Bazaar, held in Richmond Virginia, April 11, 1893. Contains Confederate Patriotic Songs and Poetry as well as General Lee's Farewell Address to his Army. Many articles of praise and inspirational articles about the Confederacy. 255 pages. No pictures or illustrations. Book is amazingly tightly bound, with one small break in front end papers, but hinge is still strong (rear hinge is whole). Wear to cloth over boards, but no breaks to cloth. Heel and head of front and rear panels has exposed boards on corners. Moderate soiling, and lost of color to cloth on spine in spots. Gilt on front panel is all present, all with stripe of stars in red. No foxing, page edges are dyed red. Nice sturdy copy of the first edition. Enclosed in a non acid document bag for storage, mailed boxed, and I can have it in the mail tomorrow. BRBC
