How to enjoy an opera. Short history of the development of the opera. Discussion of the ballet as a traditional part of the opera.-A very nice, very interesting book...Stated First Edition hardcover book in good condition, the red cloth covers are good but have some wear marks, light fading mostly on the binding. The gold lettering on the spine has been worn but this just shows a book that was read and enjoyed many times. Pages are good they have darkened somewhat from age but are still very readable.
