Nearly Fine text with complete, intact contents, strong hinges, in original cloth, very small, neat owner's name stamp to half-title page and rear free endpaper, no noticeable wear or fading, moderate foxing and off-setting to the endpapers, short edge-tear to the bottom of the front free endpaper. Original dustjacket is Very Good, price-clipped, some minor loss at extremities, a 1.5" tear to the base near the spine with a small amount of loss. This edition includes the extra chapters on "The Serious and Fatal Blows", etc. that were removed from later editions. Rare copy of this seminal work on judo/jiu-jitsu. A very attractive copy of this book, scarce in such a presentale dust jacket.
