The interior is solid and unmarked., A compilation of 22 articles reporting on research projects carried out in the Galapagos Islands. Topics range from investigations on birds and reptiles, botany and geology, climate and the marine environment. With the exception of one article, all the originals were published in English and have been faithfully tranlated here to Spanish for the benefit of Ecuadorian students and the public at large. In addition, 36 extra illustrations have been included that relate to the Galapagos but were not part of the original articles. In her preface, the editor mentions a map to be included showing the places where the projects were carried out. I don't find this map. Either it was omitted at publication or it was loosely inserted and has since gone astray.
