Eganville, Ontario.: Eganville Leader Publishing.. Fine. 2007. First Edition. Softcover. 9780973119817 . 8vo - 21 x 25 cm.; 151 pp. A photo documentary of the aftermath of the two F-2 tornadoes that ripped through Combermere, Ontario on the evening of August 2nd of 2006. Illustrated with 100+ colour photographs taken by Waddington, Fleurie and Tracey all printed on a high quality coated stock. Combermere is where we live and the memories of that night plus the weeks that followed will soften over time I s'pose though this book did bring so much of it back. The wind howled and sky rumbled like a freight train as solid sheets of water beat against anything that was standing. Uprooted and snapped-off century old pine trees seemed to dance through the air before crashing to the ground or into houses and vehicles. The almost continuous flashes of lightning provided the eerie light that made it all visible. Then less than sixty seconds after it started, it was over with just a gentle rain falling and the evening light returning to the sky. Enough light to see that this little village would never be the same. An as-new and unused copy from the first printing of 5,000. .
