New York: Random House, 1965. First Edition. Cloth. Near fine/fine. First edition of In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, in a fine first state dust jacket. Octavo, 343pp. Maroon cloth, title in gilt on spine, authors initials on front cover. Stated "first printing" on copyright page. Top edge stained blue. Publishers first edition dust jacket, fine, with $5.95 on top of front flap and "1/66" at bottom. An excellent copy in a fine dust jacket.


In Cold Blood is a 1966 book by American author Truman Capote. The book details the brutal 1959 murders of Herbert Clutter, a wealthy farmer from Holcomb, Kansas, and his wife and two of their children. When Capote learned of the quadruple murder before the killers were captured, he decided to travel to Kansas and write about the crime.
