New York: Random House. NF/VG+. 1965. 1st Edition. Hardcover; 1st Printing. 1st edition/1st printing. Sub-title: A True Account Of A Multiple Murder And Its Consequences. Bound in burgundy cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front board, the near fine book is clean, straight & tight. Stated first printing with "1/66" on the bottom of the front dust jacket flap and "Publishers of the American College Dictionary and the Modern Library" on the bottom of the rear inside flap. The spine ends are just a bit bumped from shelving. The price clipped dust jacket is clean and bright with just a touch of edgewear and two small edge tears that are internally mended at the upper spine edge. This prize winning author's 'new journalistic movement' story of the lives and deaths of six people, the four members of the Clutter family who were brutally murdered, and the two men who committed the murders. ; 8 3/4" X 6"; 343 pages .

Synopsis

In Cold Blood is a 1966 book by American author Truman Capote. The book details the brutal 1959 murders of Herbert Clutter, a wealthy farmer from Holcomb, Kansas, and his wife and two of their children. When Capote learned of the quadruple murder before the killers were captured, he decided to travel to Kansas and write about the crime.
