Philadelphia: I.D. Ware, Publisher Coach-makers' International Journal, 1872. Original issue, re-cased: xiv, 368p., plus 32p period parts ads. Ex Library (provenance on request), minimal markings within, cased into brown buckram boards with utilitarian spine titling and too-bright Dewey decimals. Illustrated with numerous white-on-black plates and vignettes and, as a sort of frontispiece, a fine doublespread steel engraving of a coach drawn full-tilt by named horses "Driven by Their Owner Mr.Bonner". This doublespread is split nearly in half and should have some attention (graphic is quite good). Expect some hand-soiled margins, as with this frontis, and toning of all leaves, but in general a very sound textblock, with one exception: leaf xv/xvi is out, leaving a ragged stub. What is missing? we don't know. As is.
