Very Good, in a VG DJ. Minor shelf/edge wear to original blue cloth boards with orange silhouette of Nancy Drew on front cover and orange titles on spine - corners lightly bumped. Very faint mottling to spine cloth (common to this cloth. Orange silhouette endpapers and glossy frontispiece. Orange topstain. Minor shelf/edge wear, a few tiny chips, dust soiling and a few closed tears to original DJ that still has vibrant colors. DJ now in mylar. Previous owner name on FFEP. 25 chapters. 11th title in a series of 56. Dust Jacket A, Format II per AXE. (1934B-12 per Farrah) [Format #5] See my photos to come. Nancy Drew is a fictional character who appears in several mystery book series as a teenage amateur sleuth. The books are ghostwritten by a number of authors and published under the collective pseudonym Carolyn Keene. Created by publisher Edward Stratemeyer as the female counterpart to his Hardy Boys series, the character first appeared in 1930 in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series, which lasted until 2003 and consists of 175 novels. Rear inside cover has the bookstore stamp of the famous and sadly long gone Hudsons Book Store which was a part of the Hudsons Department Store of Detroit, Michigan.
