London: Longmans, Green and Co., 1903 First edition in hardcover without a dust jacket. This is a fair copy only. The boards show warping and rubbing, the corners are scuffed, the spine is rubbed with wear to the ends. The front hinge has been glued at some point and the binding is cracked but holding. The title page (only) is very age toned. I suspect that this is an ealier edition that had the title page replaced by the publisher (to make it look more current?) which accounts for the browning due to wartime regulations.
