Small quarto, original light gray cloth with pictorial paper label in colors on front board; 312 pp. including 8 pp. publisher advertisements at rear, 12 full-page color plates including plate at page 255 with typographical error in plate caption (Scarecrow's misspelled "Scarecorw's." This error is found only in the first printing, all later issues were corrected. Bibliographia Oziana states that inspite of the title page credit as editor, Ruth Plumly Thompson deserves full credit as sole author of this Oz book. Bibliographia Oziana (2nd edition) #15.
