Los Angeles: Coast Reporter; Fredric H Girnau Publishing Company, 1931. 60p., staplebound pamphlet; light handling wear, some toning to edges, very good. Fifty cent cover price (we have seen another version priced at a dollar). Daisy DeVoe, who had been the secretary to Hollywood star and sex symbol Clara Bow, was convicted of mishandling the actress' funds. This booklet, packed with salacious gossip about Bow (ranging from exhibitionism to bestiality, lesbianism and drug addiction), has been interpreted as DeVoe's revenge against her former employer. It contributed to a breakdown that ended Clara Bow's career.
