Preface by the Comte de Paris, who said that this editon owed a great deal to Genral Bavin, friend of France and former Ambassador of the United States. The Prince de Joinville was the third son of King Louis-Philippe. This book was designed by Neanine Fricker. The type was handset in Baskerville. The plates were made by Mansat, Paris. The printing of the text and the illustrations was done on the presses of I. P.E. in Paris. The binding was ong by Prache, de Franclieu at Choisy-le-ROi.
