Macmillan & Co., 1904 224 pages. A very well-worn book! Cover is very scuffed and stained and worn, and edges are bumped and worn - and some of the fabric has worn away from the corners. Spine is very faded and stained and creased at top and bottom. Pages are yellowed with age and have foxing to edges. Previous owner has made lots of notes on pages in pencil (and a few in ink) and underlined lots of passages. Previous owner's name written in pencil on inside of back cover - also a small pencil drawing of two Union Jack flags - and more flag sketches on the penultimate page! Inside of front cover is quite frayed - paper coating has ripped, revealing the fabric binding beneath - but cover is still attached. Pages tightly bound. Condition consistent with age of book.. Second Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
