"His memoir spans much of the twentieth century, from growing up on a small farm on the outskirts of Trenton, Ontario, to serving as President of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE). During his varied and fascinating career, Graham fought in the trenches during the First World War, was elected mayor of Trenton, developed a successful law career, commanded the 1st Canadian Infantry in the Sicilian and Italian campaigns of the Second World War, served as Chief of the General Staff of the Canadian Army from 1955 to 1958, and was the chief organizer of the 1959 and 1967 Royal Tours, and held the position of Canadian Secretary to Queen Elizabeth II." - from dust jacket.
