About This Item

Toronto: House of Anansi, 1967. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. 8vo. 80p. [2], [1]. White lettered and decorated black cloth in black cloth slipcase. Light scuffing to rear board and a small paper scar to rear red endpaper, with some faint discoloration/tanning to the margins of the half-title, but otherwise in fine condition in a fine slipcase. Signed by Atwood on the half-title and number 2/100. The is the first Anansi Press edition and second printing overall.

Synopsis

Atwood's first collection of poetry made quite an impact. Containing many of her best and most famous poems, Atwood writes in her well-loved style; witty, vulnerable, compassionate, and sometimes quite cutting. The Circle Game won the 1966 Governor General's Award for Poetry.
