New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1918., 1918.. Good. - Octavo, red cloth titled in gilt on the front cover & spine. The top edge is gilt. The corners of the covers and the head & tail of the spine are rubbed. The spine & its gilt titling are faded. xvi, [1] leaf & 311 pages. Illustrated with 24 black-and-white plates, including a frontispiece with a tissue guard. There is a strip out of the front edge of the illustrations list. The front edges of a few other leaves are chipped where they have been roughly opened. Good.
First edition.
The previous owner's name, John V. Jewel, is stamped in gilt on the front cover. He was elected to membership in the Chamber in 1903.
