The boards and spine are chafed, the endpapers discolored, and the pages foxed. Early owner's signature in front, but otherwise, text unmarked and binding secure. A digest of stories, poems, and songs with Christian themes. Illustrated with 6 hand-colored plates, including one of a hummingbird.

1845. Octavo, pp. 407-432, unusually bright and bold red rose color plate (with tissue), steel engraving of 3 women drawn by Perring and engraved by Dick, one page music score Mahon by P. A. Andreu, original printed wraps. Good, worn, lightly foxed throughout, lower corners curled. .
