A very nice copy of this scarce 1st printing, in blindstamped burgundy cloth, with publisher's colophon, gilt titles, geometric and floral design. Light rubbing at extremities, tiny tear at head of spine, square & solid, previous owner's name & date (1897) on endpaper, all text pages excellent, a few pages miscut by printer resulting in rough edges, a few minor foxing spots mostly on fore-edges. 5.75" by 7.75", 452 pages.
