Hardcovers, two-volume set obtained from the same original party. Both found in olive green cloth boards with gilt to spine. Volume 1 is in slightly lower condition (VG) as the gilt on the spine is darkened but the two-volume set shows an overall condition grade of a strong VG. Both exteriors show minor scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps. The internal bindings of the text pages are good but volume II has a front hinge that's starting to open. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. The only evidence of handwriting are in the front of both books faintly make out where presumably a price was once penciled and then later erased. Volume 1 has decorative end pages where volume 2 as plain white ones. Pages in both volumes are toned due to age and there is some minor spotting and foxing… Read More

Heavy shelfwear: scuffing along cover boards, title lettering along spine is completely rubbed away, front spine hinge and spine are unbound, very delicate binding, light tanning. Volume is in Fair condition..
