About This Item
Philadelphia: Lea and Blanchard, 1845, 1845. FIRST AMERICAN CLOTH BOUND EDITION. 1 vol., illustrated with plates after the first London edition, publisher's original gilt and blind stamped blue/green cloth, light general handling, head and foot of spine lightly rubbed with some minor loss, inner and outer hinges fine, back corners fine, no bookplate or previous owners markings, overall a GOOD unsophisticated copy which has become increasingly difficult to find in cloth. There was an edition in wrappers issued by Harper & Brothers a month earlier.
