About This Item
Paris: Erato / Radio France, 1987. Assumed First Edition . No Binding. Near Fine/Near Fine. 12.5" x 12.5. Erato NUM 75271. This is likely the definitive performance of Chausson's 1903 operatic masterpiece "Le Roi Arthus". This performance features Teresa Zylis-Gara, Gino Quilico, and Gosta Winbergh with Nouvel Orchestre Philharmonique and Choers de Radio France, conducted by Armin Jordan. The Program Notes and Libretto (Chausson's own) are in French, English, and German - in a 135-page booklet. CONDITION: Three NEAR FINE to FINE LP records [not CDs!] in a solid, sturdy NEAR FINE box (with minimal shelf-wear and a discreetly tape-repaired bottom-edge tear). The LPs - tested and cleaned before listing - play beautifully, with general negligible-to-minimal surface noise. (The beginning of Side 5 is a little noisy, but then settles down.) The FINE/AS NEW booklet (identical to the one issued with the CD set) is enclosed into a 12" x 12" plastic tray. ***Fresh anti-static inner sleeves replace the plain/blank originals - and the boxed set is nestled in a clear outer sleeve. Securely packed and promptly mailed for ultra-safe shipping globally!
